Dwight Head
Contemporary
Dwight Head is a Sacramento based artist who has developed an immense affinity for the medium of drawing. The core of his work lies in the exploration of the unconscious, with a keen interest in the surreal. Drawing for him is not just a means of creating art, it is a form of self-expression and a way of connecting with others through the subtle language of colors and lines. Through his surrealist illustrations, Dwight aims to challenge the boundries of traditional art and push the limit of perception.

Her broader career includes art fabrication work with Robert Rauschenberg, Marisol, and Tom Wesselmann, as well as modelmaking credits for Pee Wee's Playhouse and the retired Back to the Future Ride at Universal Studios.

Joseph Bellacera
Landscape
Nature and luminosity inspire the work of Joseph Bellacera, whether it is representational or abstract. His primary subject matter is the perception of space, light and patterning. This pertains to the vastness of nature as it relates to the physics of macro/micro spatial events and includes aerial or horizon focused views of sky, sea, and land. In his luminous abstract and landscape paintings radiant forms emerge and dissolve to evoke feelings of transcendence. Joseph studied at Massachusetts College of Art, earned an MA at Humboldt State University and an MFA at University of California Santa Barbara. A very prolific artist, Bellacera has exhibited in museums and fine art galleries throughout the United States and his work has been acquired by many private and corporate collections. In addition, he has executed numerous public art commissions for institutions such as hospitals, libraries and colleges.

Martin Christian
Photography
Martin Christian is a Sacramento, California–based photographer, five-time Emmy-winning Chief Visual Journalist, and gallery-exhibited artist with more than 35 years of experience documenting reality and telling compelling visual stories. His work as Chief Visual Journalist and Chief Photographer at PBS KVIE has established him as a versatile documentary and fine art photographer whose vibrant images capture the character and culture of Northern California. He has served as a juror for PBS KVIE’s Art Auction photography category and as a longtime presenter and active member of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences. Whether capturing quiet wilderness scenes or dynamic urban environments, Martin’s photography hints at story and mystery, reflecting his belief that “reality is beautiful.” When not behind the camera, he is often cycling the American River Parkway or exploring California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.

Maryann Steinert-Foley
Sculpture
Maryann Steinert-Foley completed a BA in Art Studio, with honors, at the University of California, Davis in 2011 and received the Departmental Citation for Outstanding Performance from the UC Davis Art Department Faculty. Her interest in sculpture derives largely from the years she worked in the historically fertile and creative atmosphere of TB-9 – the WWII era temporary building on the UC Davis campus which still serves as a ceramics teaching facility and is widely considered to be the place where, beginning in the mid ’60s, Bob Arneson and others oversaw the elevation of ceramics from craft to fine Art. Maryann currently shows with b sakata garo in Sacramento, the Pence Gallery in Davis, and the Epperson Gallery of Ceramic Arts in Crockett.

Leslie McCarron
Still Life
Leslie McCarron is an oil painter whose work centers on floral still lifes and landscapes. Color is her first focus followed by the conversation between shapes. Her paintings are saturated with energy and buoyancy. Bold forms, rhythmic shadow play, and confident palettes become compositional anchors across her work. In some, she leans into minimalism, letting thick brushwork and simplified floral forms do the heavy lifting. Since 2019, McCarron has shown in Sacramento, where she has had multiple solo shows and group exhibitions. Her work has also been recognized with several juror and curator awards from the PBS KVIE Annual Art Auction. She has been featured on the cover of Inside Sacramento Magazine and has been written up in the Carmichael Times Newspaper and the Grapevine Independent. Leslie’s work hasbeen widely collected by art lovers in Northern California and from across the US.
