Booking Your Appointment Time

When you visit the event page to order your Item Vouchers, choose your preferred appointment time from the available time blocks referenced below. You may arrive at any point during your time block. Clars specialists will meet with attendees to discuss items on a first come, first serve basis. When you arrive, you may find that you need to wait in line until it is your turn. Seating will be provided.

Appointment time blocks:

9:30AM – 11:00AM     OR     11:00AM – 12:30PM     OR     1:30PM – 3:00PM

Staff and volunteers break for lunch 12:30PM – 1:30PM. There will be no appointments during this time.

Selecting Your Item Category

When choosing your appointment time, make sure you are selecting an appointment for the appropriate Item Category. Clars will have specialists in each of these four categories:

Furniture & Decorative Arts
Fine Art
Asian Art
Fine Jewelry & Watches

Ordering Your Item Vouchers

You will be ordering an Item Voucher for every item you bring. It's common for guests to bring multiple items across the different categories. Vouchers will serve as your admission to the event. When you visit the event page, be sure to select your preferred appointment for the appropriate category. Here are some examples to illustrate.

• If you have a jewelry item and want to see a Clars specialist during the 9:30AM - 11AM time block, you will select the ticket option 1 Item Voucher (9:30AM-11AM) Fine Jewelry and use the + sign to add 1.
• If you also have a chair and would like to bring that during the same time block as your jewelry item, you will also select the ticket option 1 Item Voucher (9:30AM-11AM) Furniture & Dec Arts and use the + sign to add 1. 

Each item voucher is $60 dollars (plus processing fees). In the above example, after completing the payment process you will have ordered 2 Item Vouchers for the same time block giving you access to Clars specialists in two categories. We most often see attendees bringing 2-3 items with them at Antique Valuation Day. Please pay close attention to the time block, Item Category, and number of items you are selecting when processing your order.

What happens when I arrive?

PBS KVIE staff and volunteers will check in attendees by scanning Eventbrite tickets. Please have your phone or paper tickets available if you've printed them out. You will then receive your physical vouchers for the number of Item Vouchers you've ordered.  The KVIE team will then guide you to the appropriate specialist. Be prepared to wait in line, although ample seating will be available. You will give your vouchers to the Clars specialist when you meet with them. You are encouraged to take notes during your session. Valuations are not intended to be used for insurance purposes. Typically, valuations last about 5 – 8 minutes with the specialist, depending on the item(s).
