How the Art Auction Works
Step 1 Sign up as a bidder - either in advance or during the auction
It's easy to register to bid! You can sign up in advance at kvie.org/bidder or register when you call to place a bid. Always use your primary phone number for faster bidding during the auction. If you participated during the last five years, you're already in our system and ready to bid.
Step 2 Choose your favorite works of art
Visit kvie.org/artauction to explore the collection, or view the artwork in person at PBS KVIE through September 27. You can also place a bid online or in person through September 27 before final bidding during the live auction. Note the dates and times your favorite artworks are scheduled to air, and call in to bid!
Step 3 Place a bid during the live Art Auction
Final bidding is conducted by telephone only during the live on-air auction. Start watching before your art comes up for bid, and be ready to call. When the auctioneer announces your item, call toll-free 844-KVIE-ART. Most items are sold within 15-20 minutes.
Step 4 Winners will be contacted for confirmation and payment
If you are the winning bidder, PBS KVIE staff will confirm your bid and process payment immediately after the item closes. PBS KVIE only accepts credit cards. We are required by law to collect California sales tax.
Step 5 Pick up your winning artwork!
Confirmed winners may pick up purchased art at PBS KVIE on the following days:
- Sunday, Oct. 1, 10AM - 6PM
- Monday, Oct. 2, 10AM - 6PM
- Tuesday, Oct. 3 10AM - 6PM
PBS KVIE is located at 2030 W. El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95833. You will receive a sales receipt upon item pickup.
