Huggie the Facility Dog | Focus on Health

The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center has a four-legged friend helping pediatric patients. Huggie the dog is the facility’s first-ever “facility dog.” Provided by Canine Companions for Independence, Huggie is a highly trained Labrador Retriever who supports children undergoing treatments in the pediatric infusion center. His presence greatly helps reduce feelings of fear, anxiety and even pain levels.
