About Summertime

Summertime is a classic Monterey Colonial style home. This architecture was first developed in Alta, California, and popularized by immigrants from the New England region of the United States who moved west to California in the mid-1800s.

In 1928, the Wulff family built Summertime as their family home. At that time, the neighborhood consisted of only two semicircular streets (Crocker and Hopkins Roads) in the middle of hop fields.

While the home has had several prominent owners, Lieutenant Governor Edwin Reinecke is the most notable. Mr. Reinecke ran on the same ticket as Ronald Reagan and their wives were close friends from their early days in Hollywood. During that time, the Reineckes (like the Reagans) hosted many celebrated individuals and celebrities at Summertime, including Frank Sinatra, Liberace, and Jimmy Stewart among others. Today, owners Martin Camsey and Randy Reynoso proudly display an official invitation bearing the lieutenant governor’s seal and Neil Armstrong’s signature from an event honoring the astronaut shortly after his historic walk on the moon. Messrs. Camsey and Reynoso have owned the home since 2010. They completed an extensive renovation in 2014, restoring Summertime back to how it might have looked new in 1928.
