About the Exhibition:
Change is the absolute. I believe that it's time to change art with a new dichotomy to the division of thought and action. "Vertical not Horizontal" is a metaphor for a NASA space shuttle. The direction of art in 2020 should not be into the past. The past belongs in museums. The future is vertical. Up and ahead, modern and scientific. Art and science go together. The future is here.
Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Salvador Dalà applied the Golden Rule to their compositions. "The Last Supper", "The Sistine Chapel", "The Persistence of Memory." I erased any trace of the Golden Rule in my early mural painting compositions. I thought it had nothing to do with the final painting. Now I want to show it. My style of painting is very obvious the Golden Rule.
Color, shape, function, form, texture, and beauty. Primary colors straight out of the tube. Minimal Mixing. I let the shapes evolve. Squares, cubes, triangles, rectangles, octagons, circles, pentagons, and rhombuses. I go where my painting takes me. It leads, I follow.
Imagination, innovation, improvisation, and motivation. Where does creativity come from? I always leave a small amount of space between color and shapes. The viewer fills in the space with his eves and his mind. The viewer becomes part of my painting. I allow physical lighting to become part of my painting. Change is constant. Every day you will see something different.
