About Miles Hermann

Miles Hermann was born in Los Angeles, CA and was educated in Sacramento. From an early age, he pursued an interested in art. After completing an independent studies program in Fine and Graphic Art at McClatchy High School and Marconi Tech, he then attended Sacramento City College. This is where he was greatly influenced by the painter Gregory Kondos. He then attended the San Francisco Art Institute further pursuing studies in painting, printmaking and photography. In 1986, he began exhibiting in the Sacramento region and Gumps of San Francisco, where he had two sold out shows. His work has won many awards including the California State Fair and Best of Show prize at the Vacaville Annual in 2003. His work was mentioned in the 2005 best seller Honeymoon with my Brother and is widely collected both in the United States and abroad. Miles currently shows throughout Northern California.
