Do you love to cook and create new and unique recipes?  Do you have extensive experience on camera and enjoy sharing your culinary discoveries? PBS KVIE is looking for a Cooking Segment Host to share special recipes and cooking tips with a national broadcast and online audience as part of our America’s Heartland series. Our ideal team player is enthusiastic, comfortable on camera, and based in northern California with a deep familiarity of California specialty crops.

• Works with a talented television production team to field produce 10 cooking segments scheduled for airing in 2023 on PBS stations and the RFD-TV cable and satellite channel.
• Film up to three cooking segments per day, ideally within the same week.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must be mission-driven and passionate about the role of public media.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective and proactive communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse stakeholders as a team.
• Extensive on-camera experience preferred.
• An expert in California specialty crops.

• Minimum of three years of recent experience on-air talent.

• Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
