EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES    

The Educator’s Guide will be mailed to high schools in September. An electronic copy is not currently available. Included in the guide will be:

  • A series of multidisciplinary educational activities and lesson plans.
  • Study “snapshots” to allow materials to be implemented easily across curriculum.
  • A DVD with commentary from filmmakers Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that shares their process for collecting information in the four communities featured in THE WAR (including Sacramento).
  • Information on planning a documentary, working with primary source documents, conducting interviews and producing a completed work.
