If I do not have KVIE Passport, will I still be able to watch programs on PBS.org and kvie.org for free?
Yes. Free is not going away. Many of our programs are available for free on various digital platforms including PBS.org, our mobile applications, and the PBS channels on Roku, AppleTV and other streaming services. And of course, PBS programs will continue to be broadcast to the public, for free, over the air.
After activating your KVIE Passport account, you can view KVIE Passport content on your computer, iPhone and iPad, as well as on the PBS channel on Apple TV. All KVIE Passport content is designated by an icon: . All videos displaying that icon are available to KVIE Passport members only.
Initially, close to 1,000 hours of KVIE programming across multiple genres including drama, science, history, natural history and the arts will be available in KVIE Passport. This library of content will continue to grow over time as more titles are added — so please keep checking back.
As always, PBS Kids content can be found at pbskids.org. At this time, there are no plans to incorporate PBS Kids content into KVIE Passport.
All PBS streaming video — KVIE Passport included — is only available within the United States.
KVIE Passport supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and IE9+.
