David Lowe
President & General Manager
David was named KVIE's sixth President & General Manager in May 2008. He joined the station in 2001 as Vice President of Marketing and assumed the role of Vice President of Marketing & Development in 2002. His prior experience includes marketing positions with a Fortune 500 company, a publicly traded software company, and a venture capital backed software start-up. He has served as President of the California Public Television association and on the national PBS Digital Advisory Council, PBS Development Advisory Committee, and the PBS Communications Advisory Committee. His local community board service includes American Leadership Forum, California Hall of Fame Advisory Board, Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce, Los Rios Foundation, Sacramento Asian-Pacific Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee), Sacramento Metro Chamber, and San Joaquin A+. Lowe received his B.A. in English, magna cum laude from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He is a graduate of the Leadership Sacramento program, UC Davis Executive Program, and American Leadership Forum Class XIII. He was named in the Sacramento Business Journal's 40 Under 40 and Sacramento Magazine's Power & Influence 100.

Kevin Smith-Fagan
Vice President of Development
A career nonprofit fundraiser with 20 years of
development experience, Kevin came to KVIE in 2004.
Prior to relocating to Sacramento in 2003 from Philadelphia,
Kevin worked in hunger relief and inner-city education.
He is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University
and completed fundraising studies at University of Pennsylvania
and is a graduate of the Leadership Sacramento program.
An active member in the community, Smith-Fagan volunteers
with his Rotary Club and the Sacramento Estate Planning
Council and serves on the boards of the Planned Giving
Forum of Sacramento, College Glen Little League, and
Womens Empowerment.
Michael Sanford
Vice President for Content Creation
Mike joined KVIE in 2003. He has more than 25 years of experience in television news, programming and production. He previously served as the editorial producer for Business Now, a half-hour program airing on ABC affiliates in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and Washington, D.C. In 1987, Sanford served as reporter/producer for News Travel Network, the San Francisco-based company specialized in providing consumer travel reports to about 75 affiliates across the U.S. for regular use in their daily newscasts. His reporting took him to such far-flung and fascinating places as Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Tahiti, and New Zealand, as well as across Europe and the U.S. Mike was promoted to Managing Producer of the division and also produced television segments for CNN, the Discovery Channel, and the Travel Channel.
