Volunteer & Internship Opportunities
KVIE is far more than television. In fact, we don't think
of ourselves as being in the business of television. Our
business, rather, is really about ideas, learning, arts
and culture, and citizenship. Television is simply the means
by which we deliver these resources to our community.
As
a public service, we profit by improving the community in
which we depend for support. We succeed to the extent that
our children learn, our viewers become engaged in matters
that concern them, and those within our communities join
together in a common cause.
Did you know KVIE Public Television volunteers donate over 33,000 hours of their time annually? Each year, KVIE relies on the support of over 5,000 individuals through volunteerism to keep KVIE running smoothly: by providing office support on a weekly basis, taking phone bank pledges during our membership drives, and helping out during our special event fundraisers.
INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES In its daily operations, KVIE counts upon support from the community. Volunteers are needed in almost every department of the station. Here are some of our current individual volunteer opportunities.

Membership – excellent customer service skills, data entry, filing projects
Outreach – Spanish speaking volunteers needed for various projects
Premiums Dept – prepare mailings of pledge thank you gifts, some computer skills
Production Dept – tape logging, transcribing, building DVDs
Volunteers & Interns Dept – various data entry projects to increase volunteerism
