Facilities Services Assistant (Part-time/On-call)

Duties:

  • Facility setup of Community Room to event specifications. May include tables, chairs, decoration, audio visual equipment and other requirements as necessary
  • Monitor and maintain event activities, which may include receiving clients, vendors, setup adjustments, trash removal, minor janitorial (during their absence), closing events and building security
  • Miscellaneous building/warehouse maintenance such as managing space, organizing inventory, hanging light bulbs, workstation reconfiguration, furniture moves, etc.
  • Support staff during pledge and other fundraising activities as needed
  • Facility security for KVIE building involving use of security system
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Special Skills:

  • Understand and perform duties from both written and verbal instructions
  • Possess good verbal skills for communication with other employees as well as contracted rental clients
  • Ability to perform measurements and some calculations
  • Experience with use of basic hand tools, mechanical tools and equipment

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Special Conditions:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
