In the latter position, his clients included KCET Public Television in Los Angeles. Gary graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Business and Economics. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.

Mary Tobias Weaver is a retired educator and presently pursuing creative projects with textiles and fibers. She has had an achievement-filled career that spanned 35 years, 26 of which were at the California Department of Education (CDE). Ms. Weaver is a volunteer at the Casa Garden Restaurant, a fund-raising venue that supports the Sacramento Children’s Home. She has been a supporter of KVIE for over 20 years. She is also a member of the Sacramento Center for the Textile Arts and the Sacramento Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild.
Nancy Weaver Teichert

A retired journalist, she covered social issues and investigative stories for the Sacramento Bee for nearly 25 years. While a reporter for the Jackson (MS) Clarion-Ledger, she won the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for public service for coverage of inadequate public schools in Mississippi. Also a former reporter for the Denver Post, she has won other numerous national journalism awards. In Sacramento, she has been honored by the California First Amendment Coalition for the best use of public records to uncover neglected child abuse; the American Society of Aging for stories about aging issues; and the World Hunger Award for coverage of poverty. She is a graduate of Indiana University. She is an active member of and writes for the Sacramento Pioneer Association. With her husband Fred, she is involved in many community activities and a supporter of California Lectures. She is an avid viewer of KVIE.
